How do lip fillers work?

When fillers are administered into the border or vermillion border of the lips, the hyaluronic acid gel allows us to volumise the outline of the lips thereby regaining fuller lip-definition.

Lip fillers can also be administered into the body of the lips, restoring the youthful plumpness with immediate effect, giving beautiful, natural results.

How long do lip fillers take to administer?

Treatment takes about 20minutes to administer. As the lips are one of the most sensitive parts of the body, we recommend placement of local anaesthetic to make the treatment more comfortable. We usually invite you in for 30 minutes prior to your appointment time to give the anaesthetic enough time to be absorbed into the skin. You can expect some swelling following lip injections, it can sometimes be significant and can take up to 14 days to settle.
