What Is Orthodontics?

Orthodontics is a speciality within dentistry which focuses on the alignment of teeth within the jaw as well as harnessing the growth and development of the jaw in children and teenagers.

How Long Is Orthodontic Treatment?

Treatment time can be anywhere between 12- 24 months. Depending on the severity of your case and your expectation of the finished result.

We not only use the best materials available for orthodontic treatment. But, also offer state-of-the-art and innovative technologies to enhance your patient journey and results. This can also minimise your treatment duration. Often with a reduction in treatment time by 30-40%!

Children's Orthodontics

We welcome patients of all ages. And often recommend seeing our brace patients from the age of 8. If you think your child needs braces, we would be delighted to see your child for a specialist consultation to assess your concerns.

They may be placed under review until they are ready to start treatment. Or, early orthodontics may be started. This is sometimes required to aid and alter growth and jaw positions. (To help achieve ideal jaw positions and widths).

We usually recommend fixed braces for children. They tend to enjoy having coloured elastics. But, for the more image-conscious teen, we have tooth coloured braces and even InvisalignTeen.
